Draw precise lines to define the eye. Smudge for a smokey effect. Sharpen as needed to keep the tip pointed.

- *Rose-Marie Tip: “I love to use these liners to do what I call a 'sexy smudge'. Take the pencil and glide it across the lid, aiming right at the lash line to darken it up. Make sure not to line too close to the inside corners because that will make the eyes look smaller. Next, use the sponge tip on the opposite end of the pencil and smudge the liner to create a beautiful, soft and smoky effect. There you have it, the 'sexy smudge'.”

Love this purple!!

"I have used many eyeliner pencils in my life but this one is somehow different. In a good way! I really like the purple color. My eyes are sensitive to something in purple eyeliner but not this one. The eyeliner stays on nicely too. It doesn’t look fake but just a slight smudge. It is the perfect shade too. I’m tempted to buy a couple more because I have a fear of not being able to get another one when this one runs out. I’m newer to RMS Beauty and love all of the products I have received. "The best eyeliner I’ve ever used (and I willingly admit to having bought far too much makeup in, lo, these many years since my sweet sixteenth. ) I have fair skin, with a strong cool undertone, which regularly makes colors look too harsh or too orange, and hooded eyes that like to smear eyeliner everywhere it doesn’t belong. This eyeliner stays where I put it, smudges beautifully for a soft look when desired, and doesn’t irritate my sensitive eyes. The brown is soft and warm (without being orange) and the purple is bluer than it is red - very flattering. I love the built-in smudging tool and the sharpener. Classy. Quite classy."

"I have been so impressed with other RMS products that I was looking forward to using this eye pencil. Unfortunately, it's so hard that I had to drag it across my eyes, and after several attempts. Nothing. Nope. Nada. Nothing. I tried it on the back of my hand, it's a nice plum shade, but I'm not subjecting my sensitive eyes to dragging a pencil back and forth to get a smidgen of color."

"These are the best liners in my opinion. I use all three colors and love them. Bronze brown is such a beautiful color. And, I use the plum color to fill my eyebrow as well. My original hair color is black, but the plum blends in perfectly my complexion and thinning brows. Black and brown poweders were too harsh on my brows, taupe was too faint."

How can I make this last longer on my eyes? My old eye shadow primer is no longer made and I can’t find one like Alexander DeMarkoff disguise for eyes, so if the suggestion is a primer please let me know which brand, I wish RMS made one.: To lengthen the life of your Pencil , we recommend applying UnPowder on top to set, after you use the sponge on the tip to smudge and set the product on the eye.
How do you use the sharpener: Hi! It has a little lip by the top of the Y, gently pull and it will open where you can dump the shavings. It also has a little key that helps clean out the inside.
